Alternating Views

When I was in high school, I asked my date to prom and then asked my dad if I could borrow his car to go and pick up my date. My dad was a little reluctant at first, but with the help of my mother, I was able to take my high school prom date out in my dad’s Cadillac. I felt so cool pulling up to my high school in my father’s car, and I knew that my date loved pulling up to the school in such a nice car.

Now that I am older and have a son of my very own, I would imagine that my son would borrow my car in order to take a girl to prom, but instead, my son came to me and asked if I could help him pay for a Chicago limo rental. At first I was a little sad that my son wouldn’t want to take my own car to the prom, but then I started thinking about all of the positive things about using the Chicago limo rental service. I wouldn’t have to worry about my son being out all night because I could tell the driver to make sure that my son was back at a reasonable hour.
